Eagle Athletics

2 Timothy 1:7

Our athletic program at NSCA continues to grow each year. We offer many interscholastic and instructional programs for all students, K-12th, in soccer, basketball, golf, and track and field. Our Upper Student-Athletes (5th-12th) compete against Christian and private schools in Connecticut and Rhode Island.

We are proud of the many student-athletes who have graduated from our programs and are now excelling at the college level.

NSCA Soccer....can ya' kick it?

Congrats to the 2015 soccer team on a well fought season. They finished the season 2-2! Big thank you to Coach MacCormack and the many parents who helped the season run smoothly. Great effort players!

Winter Sports Season is underway!

The MS/HS basketball teams have begun practices. Coach MacCormack will be coaching the boys team, and Coach DeMario will coach the girls team. Players in grades 6th-12th are encouraged to participate. All players who plan to participate must submit the Athlete's Pledge, Waiver Form, and Activity Fee to their coaches by December 3rd.

Games are still being scheduled, and we will pass out a finalized schedule when that is available. Games will be held in December, January, and the early part of February.

Carpool and Concession Stand Volunteers

All away games require parent drivers. If your child participates on either the Middle School/High School basketball team, please plan to drive to 1-2 games this season. If you can help - please email your coach! During our home games, we have a concession stand available. Volunteers are needed to work during the games, and donations are needed as well. If you are able to help, contact one of the coaches!

Little Eagles

Lil' Eagles is an instructional "in-house" basketball program from students in grades K-5th. Fliers will be sent home with students. Practice begins December 16th!

NSCA Athletic Boosters

If you are a friend of the NSCA Athletic Program, you are invited to attend the monthly Athletic Booster's meeting. The purpose of the meeting is to help our parents become more involved in the program and to learn more about ways to help. Meetings are held in the gymnasium, and the next meeting will be held in December.

Our Purpose in Athletics

  1. To glorify God in our actions, words, and entire athletic program
  2. To instill in students an understanding that participation in athletics is leadership training, which is a privilege that also carries responsibilities
  3. To develop Christ-like character among our Student Athletes and encourage him/her to develop their God-given athletic abilities to his/her maximum potential
  4. To place utmost importance on Christian character and conduct, achievement in academics, and respect for others
  5. To use athletics as a training ground to equip our athletes to be strong disciples for Christ
Train yourself in godliness, for the training of the body has a limited benefit, but godliness is beneficial in every way for the present life and also the life to come.
